During CeBIT 2004, the world's largest information technology exhibition, the DVD+RW Alliance was present with a large booth, consisting of various technology areas (such as consumer electronics products, PC drives and software). The booth also contained a second "floor" which was the location for press meetings and industry talks.

Visitors of the booth were able to record a movie clip of themselves while starring in some spectacular action sequences. All of this was made possible thanks to highly advanced blue screen technology. Of course, the final result was immediately recorded onto a DVD+RW disc, for the movie star to take home.

The fair included some product introductions, such as the industry's first available double layer recording drives and media, as well as the achievement of new writing speed records, enabling DVD+R discs to be written at up to 16 times normal DVD speed. CeBIT again prooved that DVD+RW is always at the forefront of DVD recording technology.
