an integrated DVD+RW solution with a state-of-the-art loader
and silicon supported by a reference design and a manufacturing
kit. The reference design is based on the Nexperia system
solutions and comprises the PNX7100 MPEG2 Audio Video Graphics
CODEC and Philips' new, slim VAD8031 ATAPI drive. Philips'
solution is industry proven and complies in every way to
the DVD+R/+RW standard. The reference design will enable
DVD player manufacturers to introduce consumer electronics
DVD+R/+RW recorders against competitive price points, quickly
opening up the large volume market. All this is backed
by experienced engineering services across the world.

configurations. Attractive ‘special offer’ packages
