TDK ScratchProof ™ coating:
100 TIMES MORE RESISTANT TO SCRATCHES
Anything that gets in between the laser beam and the recording layer of a DVD may result in fatal errors. Scratches are among the most severe causes of write/read errors, as they prevent the laser beam from properly focusing on the recording layer. That’s because scratches diffuse the laser beam, which, in turn, impairs accurate writing and reading of data marks. Coated with ScratchProof, TDK’s DVD now boasts a more than 100 times stronger resistance to scratching. Even at much higher loads and longer exposure to scratching that would be detrimental to other DVDs,TDK’s ScratchProof DVD shows no fatal increase in error rates and jitter. As a result, careless handling no longer causes loss of your valuable records or data.
